Because William Blake predicts a better freer future in his poem, the first part illustrates the typical course of a daughter in heat 200 years ago, who at the end of the day after passing adventures completes the day with moral chastisement of the caring father, only to start her secret adventure cycle anew the next day. In Part 2, which takes place in the free present, the moral role of the father is shifted to a more subtle level.
