Our activities are based on an image of man that is as far removed from pity for man as it is from disgust for him.
We understand humans rather as at least a bipolar creature, which combines the complex instinct equipment of the highly developed mammal with an abstract one,
is only connected to his own rationality, which gives him, among other things, the ability to distance himself from his own being and to make himself the object of analytical thinking.
We have a great deal of respect for this being, which will always be condemned to ask more questions than it can answer.
The path that man has travelled in his history has therefore mostly been a tentative search in a widely known terrain,
...where terrible disasters and embarrassing aberrations were inevitable.
But the greatness & tragedy of man lies precisely in the fact that he is a multi-layered, colourful, iridescent possibility being,
which, due to the irreversible character of time and its mortality, will always remain doomed to have been less in the end than it could have been in an ideal world removed from time.
